ahhhh yellow

Yellow and orange are my two favorite colors. This is a Cato ensemble that Mr Man bought for me a few years ago. I really like it and feel "fresh" in it, if that makes any sense. Isn't it funny how color can invoke feelings? I associate green with spring and think that it's a "clean" color. I tend to gravitate towards warm colors and love earth tone - I find them "peaceful". What colors bring you happiness or invoke positive feelings?

I smile because this picture reminds me of the best vacation EVER that me and Mr Man took to California

 I smile because this is my most favorite memory of vacation in CA

 I smile because I got to spend time with ones that I love dearly at the below pool - just like when they were small....ahhh to have that time back again

I smile at the wonderful time I had with my children and son-in-law swimming - the water was FAB!!

Time Constraints

 I got this necklace back in 2006 on our vacation to California. I love that is has my name on it and that it is spelled correctly.

The necklace goes perfectly with this Cato outfit - I was having problems with the positioning of my camera and just gave up due to time constraints. I hope everyone had a nice and safe Memorial Day weekend. I was busy busy. Saturday I went to the Greenway at 6:30 am and walked 5.2 miles - then drove 80 minutes to pick up son. Then met daughter and son-in-law and we all went swimming, it felt like the old days when I used to take them swimming as children. Sunday I worked on school from 6:30 am to 4 pm GRRRR. Memorial Day had a nice cook out with the family and I made this fabulous but rich chocolate peanut butter that I got off the Cool Whip insert. It was YUMMY. Hope everyone has a great short week :)

Changing Elements

 I have had this dress for quite a few years and it's still hanging in there. I like the length and feel cute in this dress..well... cute.... might not be the correct adjective. I feel "churchy" in this dress but like adding the long bling bling necklace to it - for an added riske look LOL How do you turn outfits not quite your style into more of YOUR style?

Neutral Pops

 I know you are not surprised to see me another bright orange :) I think orange looks pretty good with many different colors, navy, brown, white, black, and gray. I love the way the orange pops against the neutral background. What color pops to you like to use with neutrals?

I smile while looking at my Friday work attire on a Wednesday - knowing that we are halfway there :) I hope you find many more things to smile about LOL

Bright Denim

 Here is another of the denim looking purchases that I paired with this delightfully bright kimona blouse. I really like navy and orange together but then again I pretty much like orange period. I adore wearing bright colors. I have settled back into my old eating habits and must get that under control or I won't be able to wear my new demin looking acquisitions. Is there a color that you have been gravitating towards this season?

Dress Denim

 These really aren't denim but they are denim looking. I have been wanting a pair FOREVER and while I wasn't really thinking of capris - found these at Kohl's and decided to give them a whirl. LOVE THEM even though though are little more fitted than I usually wear. So another weekend has flown by but the weather was gorgeous and got to ride on the back of bike - sore behind though and I managed to walk on the Greenway :)

Bottom Color Shy

This is not the most figure flattering but I like the colors and it's comfy and also a great excuse to wear that FAB brooch as a necklace again :) This is also one of the sheer blouses that I blogged about earlier in the week. I think this would also look really good with some white pants. Red would prob look good too but  I do not own any red pants, mmmm as a matter of fact I shy away from colored pants. I have a staple of colors that I alternate between blouses, black, brown, white, green, and blue are the colors I have in bottoms. I wonder if I shy away because I'm bottom heavy. Do you wear colored pants?

Pink Anchors

I picked this pink blouse up at a yard sale, many many years ago. It's a little too large in the breast area I use this necklace that I got a Kohls as an achor. This said necklace is currently broken and I am going to see if Kristine can repair once again for me. Notice sleeping beauty behind me? :) 

 

I Smile

I Smile that because Saturday when I was walking on the Greenway I lost the battery to my camera but was able to order another one. The Greenway brings me so much peace that I really wasn't upset about losing it; however, if I would not have been able to replace I might have been singing another tune ;)

I smile at my requested Mother's Day gift to discover that is another trilogy that I have been sucked into :) Since I have usually have the attention span of  a gnat LOL

Assorted Sheer

I found this blouse at Kohls and I really like pairing with these wide leg pants that I found at JcPenney. I seem to have quite a few pieces of these sheer material blouses. As a matter of fact, just the past few weeks I have worn the following sheer blouses:

Colors of Fall for Spring

This outfit to me has fall colors but I have this with my Spring/Summer clothes because of the sleeve. I really do love these colors.

I hope all you mother's out there had a great Mother's Day. It was a rainy yucky day in Tn and hard to really get in the mood for festivities. I am glad we did our Mother's Day on Saturday instead as I'm currenlty fighting the blues. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Feminine

 This outfit makes me feel very dainty and feminine. I love how the lace peeks out from the bottom of the skirt - I purchased the crochet sweater in California and the rest of the outfit is from JcPenny

I Smile

 I smile at the time to be in my swing is here :) As a matter of fact, I went to the Greenway for the first time in FOREVER over the weekend (forgot my camera) and I saw alot of my favorite birds, the Woodpecker and saw some more deer. I forgot how much peace the Greenway brings me.

 I smile at getting ready to go for a bike ride. Riding on motorcycle in the country is another way that I find so much peace. Especially right now with the honeysuckle in bloom - smells FABULOUS

This look should make anyone smile - it's like he is saying "Really, do you know what time it is?" HAHAH

I smile because I have sooo enjoyed these - I'm almost finished with the last book - I haven't seen the movie....YET :)

80's Rocker

Whitesnake was such a great band in the 80's with those videos... ahhhh those were the days. I truly believe the 80's was the best era, I loved the music and the clothes.

I got the tee at a Whitesnake concert, the capris at Kohls and the shoes at Massey's. The concert was a pretty good one always takes me back in time to my big hair or at least big for me. As a matter of fact, here is pic of me in the early eighties:

This is my friend Beth and me in front of my house - notice we are dressed alike :) my brother took the pic those were the days when I all had to worry about was what I was going to wear and what me and my friends were doing on the weekends. An of course, wishing my life away that I would hurry up and turn 18... now I'm wishing I could turn back time not sure I would like to go to 18 - I think 25 is a good age. If you could go back to any age, what age would you like to be right now?

Happy Monday

 I finding other ways to wear this poncho that I had for years - got the poncho at Christopher & Banks with this tank underneath, and the skirts was a Marshall find my beloved orange shoes from Monroe & Main

The pic is a tad blurry not sure what happened. The weekend went by very quickly with some afternoon showers but nice and hot just the way I like it :) Another week begins - hope you have a wonderful week :)
