Weekly Smiles

A little spring inside since outside thinks it's still winter outside:

Inside: You can't really see it well in this picture - my friend Kristine made the coolest plant tags out of spoons - and she found the best Stacey pot with the orange, my spoon said Peace and Sunshine :) - love it

Below are some more of her work - I smile at how creative she is and how wonderful it turned out for her stand at the Farmers Market with her spoons and homemade hand scrub:

Brat likes to curl up in my blankie on the floor - he looks sweet there - still worried about his health

I rolled when I read this and had to repost on Facebook and share with my daughter - and she thought MY speech to her was bad
Jaxen did NOT like the Easter Bunny so my daughter had to get in the picture - she said the only time Jaxen looked at him was to give him a dirty look - chuckling

More of my nesting thoughts:

I love the way red and gray look together...

Praying you have plenty to smile about this week :)

BRRRRR

For March - it sure is cold and me no likey. I am such a summer time girl at heart. My daughter took my grandson to meet the Easter Bunny - he as not impressed at all and my daughter had to get in the picture and she said Jaxen wouldn't even look at the Easter Bunny except to give him dirty looks. I thought that was so cute. I must say I am glad all those days are over for me, I don't think I have the energy left to juggle all of that over again. I start school on April 1 officially, I am both excited and nervous - I have to be careful and not complain to Mr. Man how tired I am while I'm doing this...
I still have decorating the house on my mind - we shall see if that leaves me while I am school. How is your week going so far? Hope it's going well!

Sunshine Weekend

The weekend was full of sunshine - I did Zumba Saturday morning and then after get the floor swept and mopped - stayed on the couch watching movies. Really not my normal activities but enjoyed it for a change. Sunday was a great service at church. Two more weeks and Mr. Man goes to court to see if he gets disability, I am so hoping this works out. Two years into this and if he doesn't get it, then we are going to have make some major changes in our finances. I am worrying so much about it that Saturday I was up at 6 am but all I can do is have faith and keep praying. How was your weekend?

Peace and Sunshine

I must say I felt SUPER cute in this outfit below and I am very pleased that it is Friday. Nothing really planned for the weekend - still pouring over my bill spreadsheet and praying for a  miracle. But the sun is supposed to shine today and be a wonderful 70 degrees. I will focus on that and will myself to have some Peace and Sunshine and may your weekend be filled with both as well :)

Off the Wagon

Now I am finally to my pictures with my new tri-pod - much better, no? I should start school around April 1 - almost like an April Fools joke HA! I am both excited and nervous but I do like accounting and think this will be an enjoyable journey - of course if you were with me in the last parts of MBA it was quite a tedious journey for me near the end. I have really fallen off the wagon on my dieting and exercising - I must get back in the grove. Interesting enough I googled tips to get back on the diet wagon and found several articles. I enjoyed this one the most http://thelemonbowl.com/2013/01/falling-off-the-diet-and-exercise-wagon-tips-for-getting-back-on-track.html.  I also enjoyed this one http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/lose-weight-fast-how-to-do-it-safely. I am going to start logging my food again. I had this cool website and even have the app on my phone - Myfitnesspal.com -it's free and pretty easy to use. What tools do you use?

I am ready for the pretty and warm weather that has been promised all week - almost like Mother Nature is being contrary. I am sooo ready to be in summer time. Hope all is going well in your world. Any big plans this weekend?

This Week's Smile

This is my wonderful Saturday adventure at my aunt's late MIL house, we all called her Granny. The house is full of her love and antiques and handmade things - below was on the front porch

These are the brick floors that I have loved since I was small child and would love to have in my home

This beautiful pie safe

check out her collection of bottles - some them had dates back in the 1800's

The wooden things with the churners are old timey butter molds...

Old coffee grinder..

Antique clock...

Rustic end table..

This was her fireplace - it had an arm in there that she used to hang a pot of beans on and cook over the fire - cool uh?

Another pie safe

cool end table

copper cauldron - never seen one of them before

Pa-Paw built this house and the cabinets were built by him as well - I love, love

This is the neatest looking kitchen...

The fireplace has an insert cool uh?

This cool sign was found there and now is in my home..

I also found a couple of jars that match the ones Mr. Man found in the woods - look FAB on my laundry shelf

another old iron..

This is the shelf my friend Kristine gave me - still deciding if I want to paint it another color - Mr. Man and I discussed a metallic pewter...

Here is the end table and stool I made into a shelf  and the book holder that I got from Granny's

I also got an original Raggedy Andy that I don't have pictured. How is your week going so far? I enrolled to get my Masters in Accounting - hope I am doing the right thing....
