Finally Friday

Whoop Whoop!!! It's finally Friday ;) Not much planned for the weekend except school work and hopefully a bunch of rest :) How bout you? This post is going to be short as I am whipped and my Better Homes and Gardens magazine beckons me. Do you have any magazines that you subscribe that you look forward to getting every month? My days are work are excruciating - I am  soooo covered up and so many things to do with so many things being thrown at me - I feel frustrated and inadequate that I can't seem to get it all done - <DEEP BREATH> The weekend is almost here.....unfortunately it will accompanied by rain that is to move in tonight BOOOO Just gotta hang in and practice what I preach - "Do what your best and accomplish what you can, what you can't get to, do it tomorrow" yeah yeah :) Do you have anything that you seem to be wearing alot of these days as the season is changing? Orange/Rust

I really like this combo - the button up I got at Chadwicks and the tank and pants at Catos. I felt pretty cute in this combo. Monday went by very quickly the weather is sooooo gorgeous. I am a tab bit distraught that my yard needs mowing and my mower is broken and neighbors on both sides have mowed. I have that yuckiest yard <GASP> Mr Man says we should have our fixed by Wednesday - two whole days - not sure I can take it..... :) Day Two without my partner in crime at work - barely holding on - Hope your week is going good so far

Poncho/Scarf

Isn't this the neatest thing? It's a scarf that is a poncho, my grandmother scored this unique, lovely find at Salvation Army. I LOVE IT!! It felt flowy and this summer I can put tank tops underneath it. FAB!! yes? This weekend was gorgeous!! Friday my daughter and I had a wonderful time shopping, she got some of the cutest things - she looks great in everything with her cute little size 2 self :) Her taste is different than mine in that I gravitate to bright colors and she prefers grays and blacks. I also scored the BEST ever shoes that I am in love with that I will share with you on Wednesday smiles :) Sunday was a do nothing windows open, sitting outside, reading my school work (now enter economics) <SIGH> Been busy as all get out at work - my partner in crime is out this week so pray I don't drown in e-mails. Colors!!!

I love the colors of this blouse but the temp has to be just right or the blouse is a little itchy. Warmer weather is coming our way and I thrilled, I am still not thrilled with the time change. I overslept yesterday morning that I wasn't able to get a pic of my outfit or do my morning reading. I am really sleepy as well. Hope you have a great day

Time Change - BOOOO

So far I  not enjoying the time change I prefer to sleep a little longer then be awake a little longer ;) Weekend was pretty good, I ate again all weekend (causing me to gain weight) but I did manage to walk on the Greenway on Saturday. Saturday weather was gorgeous - Sunday was little cloudy and not as warm as Sat. This upcoming week looks to be okay weather temp wise but rain on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. I hope this changes since I have Friday off and my daughter and I are going to shopping for her new attire :) Sooo..... Happy Monday everyone!!!

So here is the Jason Wu skirt I got at Target, I had been holding back on wearing it as I couldn't figure out what to put with it. Then I remembered this red blouse I got at Marshall's and then I found this yellow cardigan thingy that I got at a yard sale. I was really pleased how it turned out. I felt super cute in this outfit. Rain came in today and brought a little cooler weather buurrrrrr and GRRRRR :) I am very glad it's Friday not really big plans this weekend. Sat going to my friend Kim's house to an UpperCase Living party and I need to find some time off from work on a Friday within the next two weeks to take my daughter to Nashville to Kristine and my lunchtime shopping haunts. My daughter got a job where I work as a contract but keep your fingers crossed they offer her a full time job. I am soooo proud of her as I watch her grow into this strong intelligent woman. Feels Like the 80's

This outfit felt like the 80's and I LOVE IT!! I am an 80's girl - love the music, hair, and clothes :) Well except for those jelly shoes <OUCH> This blouse I got on the clearance rack at Target - it was shorter in the front than I liked so I took one of my camesouls and put under it with this FAB jean jacket that Kristine found at Ross. The bling bling necklace I found at Kohls. It broke as soon as I got home but, lucky for me my friend Kristine is talented and fixed it for me YAHHHH Well we are half way there - I am sooo ready for the weekend

Red and Pink Combo - LOVE LOVE

You have probably guessed that my closet consists of many bright colors :) Vibrant colors make me feel good - as the outfit I have one does contribute to my mood - along with the weather and a few other variables. This jacket was a wonderful find at JCPenney's and I wear it both summer and winter. In the winter it's nice to see a little color and the butterfly reminds that spring and summer are just around the corner when I wear this in the winter. This is one of the few pieces that I do intermingle for both times of year. Of course, you know I really like brown as well :) I like red too but do not own many pieces, I am trying to incorporate more into my wardrobe. Are there any colors that make you feel better on a gloomy day?

Would Have Been

This Quantitative Reasoning class is kicking my butt and requiring alot of my attention and sleep. I was update late on Tuesday (class), Wednesday (doing math assignment), and Thursday (met with school team) so by Friday I was exhausted. I even had to try a 5-hour energy shot - which btw does seem to work :) I slept in really late on Saturday, then was tied up with my son. So much that I forgot I had bought tickets for "dinner" at the church and instead Mr Man and I went to O'Charley's, which would have been better since I had already paid for it. I realized it when I pulled into church Sunday :( I did get to walk on the Greenway Sunday it would have been more enjoyable on Saturday as the weather was much prettier. <SIGH> This is a new week and hopefully things will be much better  and there will will be less "would have been" thoughts :) Happy Monday

Structured Nature

We had a little cold snap but I don't think it's going to be long and I will get to wear the clothes in the spring/summer closet exclusively. I broke my own rules and did the unthinkable for this outfit - combined work and leisure...GASP!! Actually since I have been reading blogs and seeing how other women put things together, I have been breaking alot of rules. Don't get me wrong, I still wear my  clothes in line as they are hanging in the closet, based on the temp outside, but....I used to skip over an outfit if say the shoes I would normally wear with  the ensemble was worn the previous day. Now, I take said garment and pair with something different for different shoes. I have been coming with some pretty good outfits this way, still satisfying my "structured nature" as I like to call it :) Do you plan your outfits? How do you put your ensembles together? I am envious of women that get up and go to closet and pull out what they feel like wearing. I have no IDEA how they make a decision like that - I structure as I cannot make a decision :) It's almost Friday.....
